Construction of references to superseded provisions
4. Where by or under the Act—
(a)a provision of an enactment or instrument has been repealed or revoked; and
(b)a corresponding provision has been applied to the relevant area or to any part thereof
any reference in any local Act or in any instrument made under any Act to the provision mentioned in (a) shall, in the application of such Act or instrument to the relevant area or to such part, as the case may be, unless the contrary intention appears, be construed as a reference to the provision mentioned in (b).
