Transfer of functions

2.  The functions of the Secretary of State under—

(a) section 12(a) of the Immigration Act 1971(1);

(b) section 22 of that Act; and

(c) paragraphs 1, 2, 3, 5, 9, 15 and 16 of Schedule 5 to that Act,

are hereby transferred to the Lord Chancellor.
