The Secretary of State for Transport, makes this Scheme in exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Highways Act 1980(1), and now vested in him(2), and of all other enabling powers:

1.  Items 1(1), 1(2)(a), 1(2)(b), 1(2)(c) and 1(2)(d) of Schedule 2 to the North of Edgware Bury – Aldenham Special Roads Scheme 1962(3)are hereby revoked.

2.  This Scheme shall come into force on 24th February 1990 and may be cited as the M1 London – Yorkshire Motorway (The North of Edgware Bury – Aldenham Special Roads Scheme 1962) (Partial Revocation) Scheme 1990.

This Scheme varies a Scheme made under sections 11, 12 and 14 of the Highways Act 1959 (c. 25), which provided for the construction of the North of Edgware Bury – Aldenham Special Road, now part of the M1 London – Yorkshire Motorway.
