Coming into force in accordance with regulation 2

Whereas a draft of these Regulations has been approved by resolution of each House of Parliament;

Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by those provisions of the Representation of the People Act 1983(1) and the Representation of the People Act 1985(2) which are specified in Schedule 1 to these Regulations, hereby makes the following Regulations:
