The Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986 (Commencement No. 3) Order 1992

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 46(2) of the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986((1)), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

1.  This Order may be cited as the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986 (Commencement No. 3) Order 1992.

2.  Section 30 of the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986 shall come into force on 1st July 1992.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force on 1st July 1992 section 30 of the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986 which relates to legal aid in contempt proceedings. All provisions of the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986 have now been commenced, except for Part V (which relates to the employment of solicitors by the Scottish Legal Aid Board.)
