Regulation 2

SCHEDULE

SCHEDULE 1SCHEDULED AUTHORITIES

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

Regulation 7 of the Local Government (Promotion of Economic Development) Regulations 1990 (“the principal regulations”) restricts the types of financial assistance for economic development of their areas which may be provided by local authorities in England other than the district and London boroughs named in Schedule 1 to those Regulations, and the corresponding county councils.

These Regulations replace that Schedule. No authority is removed from the Schedule. There are added 41 councils of districts in the counties of Dorset, East Sussex, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Surrey and West Sussex, the Common Council of the City of London and 14 London borough councils.
