Whereas the councils of the London boroughs of Bromley, Hammersmith and Fulham and Lewisham have each applied to the Secretary of State for an order to be made under section 76 of the Road Traffic Act 1991(1) amending an order made by him under that section, and the Sercretary of State has consulted the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis in accordance with section 76(2) of that Act:
NOW, the Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 76(1) and section 77(6) of the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Special Parking Areas) (London Boroughs of Bromley, Hammersmith and Fulham and Lewisham) (Amendment No.2) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 17th June 1994.
2. In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires,—
“the principal Order” means the Road Traffic (Special Parking Areas) (London Boroughs of Bromley, Hammersmith and Fulham and Lewisham) (London Borough of Wandsworth) (Amendment) Order 1993(2);
“the 1984 Act” and “the 1991 Act” have the same meanings as in the principal Order; and a reference to a Schedule followed by a number is a reference to the Schedule to this Order bearing that number.
3.—(1) The principal Order shall have effect as if—
(a)the areas referred to in Schedule 1 were included in the special parking area designated by article 4(1)(a) of the principal Order;
(b)the areas referred to in Schedule 2 were included in the special parking area designated by article 4(1)(b) of the principal Order; and
(c)the areas referred to in Schedule 3 were included in the special parking area designated by article 4(1)(c) of the principal Order.
(2) Article 5 (modification of the 1984 Act) and article 6 (modification of the 1991 Act) of the principal Order shall apply in relation to the areas referred to in Schedules 1, 2 and 3 as they apply to the special parking areas designated by article 4 of that Order, so that references in article 5 or 6 to a special parking area shall be taken to include an area referred to in Schedule 1, 2 or 3 to this Order.

Article 3(1)(a)
1. The areas transferred from the county of Surrey and the district of Tandridge to the London borough of Bromley and referred to in article 4(2) of the Greater London, Kent and Surrey (County Boundaries) Order(3).
2. The areas transferred from the county of Kent and the district of Sevenoaks to the London borough of Bromley and referred to in article 3(2) of the Greater London, Kent and Surrey (County Boundaries) Order 1993.
3. The areas transferred from the London borough of Croydon to the London borough of Bromley and referred to in the table to article 5(2) of the Greater London and Surrey (County and London Borough Boundaries) Order 1993(4).
4. The areas transferred from the London borough of Croydon to the London borough of Bromley and referred to in article 3(2) of the Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark (London Borough Boundaries) Order 1993(5).
5. The areas transferred from the London borough of Lambeth to the London borough of Bromley and referred to in article 5 of the Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark (London Borough Boundaries) Order 1993.
6. The areas transferred from the London borough of Southwark to the London borough of Bromley and referred to in articles 6 and 7 of the Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark (London Borough Boundaries) Order 1993.
7. The areas transferred from the London borough of Greenwich to the London borough of Bromley and referred to in the table to article 4 of the Bromley and Greenwich (London Borough Boundaries) Order 1993(6).
Article 3(1)(b)
1. The areas transferred from the London borough of Hounslow to the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and referred to in article 5(2) of the Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Hounslow (London Borough Boundaries) Order 1993(7).
2. The areas transferred from the London borough of Ealing to the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and referred to in the table to article 3(1) of the Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Hounslow (London Borough Boundaries) Order 1993.
Article 3(1)(c)
1. The areas transferred from the London borough of Greenwich to the London borough of Lewisham and referred to in the table to article 3(1) of the Greenwich and Lewisham (London Borough Boundaries) Order 1993(8).
2. The areas transferred from the London borough of Southwark to the London borough of Lewisham and referred to in the table to article 4 of the Lewisham and Southwark (London Borough Boundaries) Order 1993(9).

The Road Traffic (Special Parking Areas) (London Boroughs of Bromley, Hammersmith and Fulham and Lewisham) (London Borough of Wandsworth) (Amendment) Order 1993 (“the principal Order”) designated the whole of the London boroughs of Bromley, Hammersmith and Fulham and Lewisham (excluding certain specified roads) as special parking areas for the purposes of Part II of the Road Traffic Act 1991. It also made consequential modifications to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and to Part II of the 1991 Act. This Order amends the principal Order by adding to the special parking areas designated by it the areas referred to in Schedules 1, 2 and 3, which are areas which were transferred to the respective London boroughs in pursuance of local government boundary changes. The consequential modifications in the principal Order of the 1984 and 1991 Acts are applied to the areas added to the special parking areas.
