1. This Order may be cited as the A570 St. Helens-Ormskirk-Southport Trunk Road (Moor Street and St. Helens Road, Ormskirk) (Detrunking) Order 1994, and shall come into force on 11th July 1994.
2. In this Order:—
“classified road” as a classification for a highway means that the highway is not a principal road for the purpose of enactments or instruments which refer to highways classified as principal roads but is a classified road for the purpose of every enactment and instrument which refers to highways classified by the Secretary of State and which does not specifically refer to their classification as principal roads;
“the deposited plan” means the plan numbered HA10/1/CNW 344 marked “The A570 St. Helens-Ormskirk-Southport Trunk Road, (Moor Street and St. Helens Road Ormskirk) (Detrunking) Order 1994”, signed by the authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY.
3. The lengths of trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be trunk road and St. Helens Road shall be classified as a principal road and Moor Street shall become a declassified road, as from the date on which this Order comes into force.

The lengths of the A570 Trunk Road ceasing to be trunk road are:—
(i)St. Helens Road (A570) from its junction with Ruff Lane, Ormskirk in a northerly direction for a distance of 100 yards to its junction with Moor Street; and
(ii)Moor Street (A570) from its junction with St. Helens Road (A570) in a westerly direction for a distance of 100 yards to its junction with Moorgate, Ormskirk.
