Amendment of Establishment Order

2.  For article 3 of the Stockport Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1993(1) (nature and functions of the trust) there shall be substituted the following article:—

“Nature and functions of the trust

3.— (1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.

(2) The trust’s functions (which include functions which the Secretary of State considers appropriate in relation to the provision of services by the trust for one or more Health Authorities) shall be:—

(a) to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act:

(i) Stepping Hill Hospital, Poplar Grove, Stockport SK2 7JE,

(ii) St. Thomas' Hospital, Shaw Heath, Stockport, Cheshire SK3 8BL,

(iii) Tree Tops Hospital, Dale Road, Marple, Stockport, Cheshire SK8 6NG,

(iv) Cherry Tree Hospital, Cherry Tree Lane, Stockport, Cheshire SK2 7PZ,

(v) Ollersett Hospital, Low Leighton Road, New Mills, Derbyshire SK12 4LS,

and other hospitals, establishments and facilities in the area of Stockport Health Authority, and there to provide and manage hospital accommodation and services; and

(b) to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act, The Meadows, Offerton House Site, Marple Road, Stockport, Cheshire SK2 5EA, and other hospitals, establishments and facilities in the area of Stockport Health Authority, and from there to provide and manage community health services.”.
