44. In regulation 16 (transitional provision) of the Child Support (Miscellaneous Amend ments) (No. 2) Regulations 1996 M1—
(a)for paragraph (1) there shall be substituted the following paragraph—
“(1) A decision with respect to a maintenance assessment in force on 13th January 1997 shall not be superseded by a decision under section 17 of the Act solely to give effect to these Regulations.”; and
(b)in paragraph (2), the words “made following a review mentioned in paragraph (1)" shall be omitted.
