The Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10A, 20(2), 24A and 79(1), (3), (6) and (7) of the Social Security Act 1998(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after consultation with the Council on Tribunals in accordance with section 8 of the Tribunals and Inquiries Act 1992(2), by this Instrument, which contains only regulations made by virtue of, or consequential upon, that section 20(2) or paragraph 24, 31 or 33 of Schedule 7 to the Social Security Contributions (Transfer of Functions, etc.) Act 1999(3) and which is made before the end of the period of six months beginning with the coming into force of those provisions(4), makes the following Regulations:

1998 c. 14. Sections 10A and 24A are inserted by, respectively, paragraphs 24 and 33 of Schedule 7 to the Social Security Contributions (Transfer of Functions, etc.) Act 1999 (c. 2); section 20 is amended by paragraph 31 of that Schedule.
