Accounts and reports

6.—(1) In this Article “the relevant period” means the period–

(a) beginning with 1st April 1999; and

(b) ending immediately before the transfer day.

(2) The first annual report of the Commission to the Department under paragraph 5 of Schedule 8 to the Northern Ireland Act 1998 shall include reports by the Commission on the performance by the dissolved bodies of their functions during that period.

(3) The Commission shall–

(a) prepare a statement of accounts for each of the dissolved bodies (other than the Northern Ireland Disability Council) in respect of the relevant period containing such information, and in such form, as is directed by the Department with the consent of the Department of Finance and Personnel; and

(b) send copies to the Department and to the Comptroller and Auditor General for Northern Ireland at the same time as a copy of the statement of accounts for the first financial year of the Commission is so sent under paragraph 7(2)(b) of Schedule 8 to the 1998 Act.

(4) Paragraph 7(3) and (4) of Schedule 8 to the 1998 Act shall apply to a statement of accounts prepared under paragraph (3) as they apply to the statement of accounts for the first financial year of the Commission.
