Whereas a draft of this Order has been laid before Parliament in accordance with section 10 of the International Organisations Act 1968(1) (“the Act”) and has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament:
Now, therefore, Her Majesty, by virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by sections 1 and 10(3) of the Act(2) or otherwise in Her Majesty vested, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—
1. This Order may be cited as the International Organisations (Immunities and Privileges) Miscellaneous Provisions Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st August 1999.
2. The Orders mentioned in the Schedule to this Order shall have effect subject to the amendments specified in that Schedule.

This Order makes amendments to the Orders mentioned in the Schedule to it consequential upon the introduction of Insurance Premium Tax and Air Passenger Duty. Such amendments are necessary in order to implement the United Kingdom’s international obligations to the organisations which are the subjects of the Orders. The Order also makes certain minor amendments to some of the Orders to bring them up to date.
