Explanatory Note

This Order, made under the United Nations Act 1946, amends the restrictions imposed by the Angola (United Nations Sanctions) Order 1993 pursuant to a decision of the Security Council of the United Nations in its resolution 864 of 15th September 1993, to restrict acts calculated to promote the supply or delivery of arms and related materiel, and petroleum and petroleum products, to any person in Angola.
This Order does not affect the Angola (United Nations Sanctions) Order 1997(1) nor the Angola (United Nations Sanctions) Order 1998(2).
