Citation, commencement and extent
1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Information About Individual Pupils) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 16th January 2003.
(2) These Regulations apply only in relation to schools in England.
Amendment
2. The Education (Information About Individual Pupils) (England) Regulations 2001(1) shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of these Regulations.
3. In regulation 2 (Interpretation), after the definition of “the 1996 Act” there shall be inserted the following—
““child looked after by a local authority” has the meaning assigned to it by section 22(1) of the Children Act 1989;”.
4. In regulation 4 and in the heading to that regulation, for the words “a city academy” and “city academies”, there shall be substituted “an Academy” and “Academies” respectively.
5. For the Schedule, there shall be substituted the Schedule set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.
