Part II AMENDMENTS TO THE CERTIFICATION REGULATIONS

5.—(1) Amend regulation 2 as follows.

(2) In paragraph (2),—

(a) after the definition of “authorised repairer”, insert—

““the Authority” means the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority(1);”

(b) after the definition of “meter examiner” insert—

““nominated laboratory” means a laboratory nominated by the Authority for the purpose of testing meters;”.

The Gas and Electricity Markets Authority was established by section 1(1) of the Utilities Act 2000 (c. 27).
