The Animals and Animal Products (Import and Export) (England and Wales) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2002

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations, which come into force on 6th March 2002, amend the Animals and Animal Products (Import and Export) (England and Wales) Regulations 2000 (S.I. 2000/1673, as amended) to make provision in relation to England to give effect to—

  • article 4 of Commission Decision 2002/153/EC (OJ No. L50, 21.2.2002, p. 98), concerning certain protection measures with regard to foot-and-mouth disease in the United Kingdom, repealing Decision 2001/740/EC (OJ No. L277, 20.10.2001, p. 30) and amending for the eighth time Decision 2001/327/EC; and Commission Decision 2001/327/EC concerning restrictions to the movement of animals of susceptible species with regard to foot-and-mouth disease (OJ No. L115, 25.4.2001, p. 12), as amended.

A Regulatory Impact Assessment has not been prepared for these Regulations.
