1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000 (Consequential Modifications) (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) Order 2005 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.
(2) Subject to paragraphs (3) and (4), this Order extends to England and Wales and Northern Ireland.
(3) Articles 2 and 3 of this Order extend to England and Wales only(1).
(4) Article 4 of this Order extends to Northern Ireland only(2).
Modifications in identical terms to those in articles 2 and 3 of this Order have been made as regards Scotland by the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000 (asp 4), section 88 and Schedule 5, paragraphs 22 and 23.
Article 4 modifies the Social Security Administration (Northern Ireland) Act 1992 which extends to Northern Ireland only.
