The Parliamentary Commissioner Order 2006

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Parliamentary Commissioner Order 2006.

(2) This Order comes into force on 22nd January 2007.

(3) In this Order, “the Act” means the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967.

Amendments to the Act

2.  In Schedule 2 to the Act—

(a)insert the following entries in the appropriate place in alphabetical order—

  • Animal Welfare Advisory Committee

  • Advisory Committee on Animal Feedingstuffs

  • Advisory Committee on Hazardous Substances

  • Advisory Committee on Microbiological Safety of Food

  • Advisory Group on Medical Countermeasures

  • Defence Scientific Advisory Committee

  • The Quality Improvement Agency

(b)delete the following entries—

  • Dental Vocational Training Authority

  • Intellectual Property Advisory Committee

  • National Health Service-wide Clearing Service

  • Standing Medical Advisory Committee

  • Standing Nursing and Midwifery Advisory Committee

  • Standing Pharmaceutical Advisory Committee

  • Wider Health Working Group

  • Wine Standards Board;

(c)for “Independent Review body for the Advertising of Medicines” substitute “Independent Review Panel for Advertising”;

(d)for “Independent Review Panel on the Classification of Borderline Medicines” substitute “Independent Review Panel on the Classification of Borderline Products”.

3.  In Schedule 4 to the Act, delete the entries relating to—

  • Dental Vocational Training Authority Appeal Body

  • Registered Inspectors of Schools Appeal Tribunals.

Revocations

4.  The Orders specified in the Schedule are revoked.
