EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This is the tenth Commencement Order made under the Children Act 2004 (“the Act”).

Article 2 brings into force on 21st March 2008 section 19 of the Act which requires each children’s services authority in England to designate one of their members as their “lead member for children’s services”.

The following provisions of the Act have been brought into force by commencement order made before the date of this Order–
