33. In section 46 (procedure for making regulations etc)—U.K.
(a)at the end of subsection (1) insert “(subject to subsection (1A))”;
(b)after subsection (1) insert—
“(1A) Where the power is exercisable by a Northern Ireland department it shall be exercisable by statutory rule for the purposes of the Statutory Rules (Northern Ireland) Order 1979(1) subject to negative resolution (within the meaning of section 41(6) of the Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(2)).”
