2.—(1) Subject to paragraph (2), these Regulations apply to all members of the force who are serving in the United Kingdom or outside the United Kingdom whilst on detached duty from a station in the United Kingdom.
(2) These Regulations do not apply to—
(a)senior officers; and
(b)officers of the rank of constable who have not completed the first year of probation.
