1.—(1) This Schedule makes provision for the enforcement of these Regulations within Great Britain.U.K.
(2) Despite sub-paragraph (1), nothing in paragraphs 2 to 12 or 14 applies for the purpose of making any person responsible for the enforcement of these Regulations as they apply—
(a)on sites which are GB nuclear sites; or
(b)on any part of a site which is, or forms part of, a GB nuclear site M1.
(3) The provisions of this Schedule apply despite the provisions of the Health and Safety (Enforcing Authority) Regulations 1998 M2.

M1Section 18 of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 has been amended, by the Energy Act 2013 (c.32), Schedule 12, paragraph 6, with the effect that the Office for Nuclear Regulation is the enforcing authority (within the meaning of the 1974 Act) for the relevant statutory provisions as they apply in relation to GB nuclear sites. Exceptions may be made for the Office of Rail Regulation to enforce any of the relevant statutory provisions as they apply on such nuclear sites.
