The Care and Support (Assessment) Regulations 2014

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Care and Support (Assessment) Regulations 2014 and come into force immediately after section 12(1) of the Care Act 2014 comes fully into force(1).

(2) In these Regulations—

“the Act” means the Care Act 2014;

“assessment” means—

(a)

a needs assessment(2);

(b)

a child’s needs assessment(3);

(c)

a carer’s assessment(4);

(d)

a child’s carer’s assessment(5);

(e)

a young carer’s assessment(6);

“supported self-assessment” has the meaning given by regulation 2(1).
