32.—(1) The Teachers’ Pension Schemes Regulations 2014(1) are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 3 (interpretation)—
(a)omit the definition of “additional paternity leave”;
(b)in the definition of “non-pensionable family leave”—
(i)after “parental leave, ” insert “shared parental leave or”
(ii)omit “additional paternity leave”.
(c)in the definition of “statutory pay”—
(i)omit paragraph (b);
(ii)after paragraph (b) insert—
“(c)statutory shared parental pay payable in accordance with Part 12ZC of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992;”
(d)at the appropriate place there is inserted—
““shared parental leave” has the meaning given in regulation 3(1) of the Shared Parental Leave Regulations 2014;” .
(3) In regulation 23 (service not pensionable unless member is entitled to pay), in paragraph (1)(b)—
(a)after “parental leave,” insert “shared parental leave or”;
(b)omit “or additional paternity leave”.
(4) In regulation 33 (interpretation), in paragraph (b) of the definition of “notional pensionable earnings”—
(a)after “parental leave,” insert “shared parental leave or”;
(b)omit “or additional paternity leave”.
(5) In regulation 34 (pensionable earnings for school teachers), in paragraph (2)(c)—
(a)omit “additional paternity leave,”;
(b)after “parental leave,” insert “shared parental leave”.
(6) In regulation 39 (pensionable earnings for the purpose of accruing benefits), in paragraph (a)—
(a)after “parental leave,” insert” shared parental leave or”;
(b)omit “or additional paternity leave”.
(7) In regulation 143 (annual rate of surviving adult pension: short term), in paragraph (2)(a)—
(a)omit “additional paternity leave”;
(b)for “or adoption leave” substitute “shared parental leave or adoption leave”.
(8) In regulation 150 (annual rate of child pension: short term), in paragraph (2)(a)—
(a)omit “additional paternity leave”
(b)for “or adoption leave” substitute “shared parental leave or adoption leave”.
(9) In regulation 184 (pensionable earnings for a pay period), in paragraph (4) after “adoption leave” insert “, shared parental leave”.
(10) In regulation 189 (entitlement to repayment of balance of contributions), in paragraph (3)—
(a)omit “additional paternity leave,”;
(b)after “parental leave” insert “, shared parental leave”.
(11) In regulation 219 (employment records), in paragraph (2))(f)—
(a)omit “additional paternity leave,”;
(b)after “parental leave” insert “, shared parental leave”.
