2. These Regulations come into force on the date specified in Article XXVIII of the Aircraft Protocol M1 for commencement of that Protocol.
Marginal Citations
M1Article XXVIII of the Aircraft Protocol provides that it “enters into force on the first day of the month following the expiration of three months after the date of the deposit of the eighth instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession, between the States which have deposited such instruments” and, in the case of other States, “on the first day of the month following the expiration of three months after the date of the deposit of its instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession.”. This date will be notified in the London, Edinburgh and Belfast Gazettes. It will also be possible to find out the date on which the Cape Town Convention and Aircraft Protocol enter into force for the United Kingdom by referring to the relevant page on Gov.UK. Asesiadau Effaith
Impact Assessments generally accompany all UK Government interventions of a regulatory nature that affect the private sector, civil society organisations and public services. They apply regardless of whether the regulation originates from a domestic or international source and can accompany primary (Acts etc) and secondary legislation (SIs). An Impact Assessment allows those with an interest in the policy area to understand:
- Why the government is proposing to intervene;
- The main options the government is considering, and which one is preferred;
- How and to what extent new policies may impact on them; and,
- The estimated costs and benefits of proposed measures.
