5.—(1)  A fee is to be charged for the consideration of an application for leave to enter the United Kingdom, leave to remain in the United Kingdom, or entry clearance to enter the United Kingdom [F2, the Bailiwick of Guernsey, the Bailiwick of Jersey] or the Isle of Man, of a type specified in table 2.

(2)  Table 2 specifies the maximum amount that may be charged in respect of each application.

(3)  In this article an application includes an application for variation of leave to enter or leave to remain in the United Kingdom.
