Prospective
11.—(1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/274 laying down rules for the application of Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the scheme of authorisations for vine plantings, certification, the inward and outward register, compulsory declarations and notifications, and of Regulation (EU) No 1306/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the relevant checks M1 is amended as follows.
(2) After Article 1 insert—
The competent authority, in relation to a function to be exercised in the United Kingdom, or any part of it, under this Regulation means the person designated to carry out that function by regulation 4 of the Wine Regulations 2011 M2.”.
(3) In Article 12—
(a)in paragraph 2, in the first subparagraph omit “and Chapter VI of this Regulation”;
(b)in paragraph 3 omit “of the Member States”.
(4) In Article 13(2)(b) omit the words from “presented” to the end.
(5) In Article 15(3), in the first subparagraph omit the second sentence.
(6) Omit Article 19.
(7) In Article 20(4)—
(a)in the first subparagraph, for the words from “Member” to “days” substitute “ on a case by case basis, the Food Standards Agency, in relation to England, Northern Ireland and Wales, and Food Standards Scotland, in relation to Scotland, may, on the application of an operator, authorise longer deadlines not exceeding 30 days where the Food Standards Agency or Food Standards Scotland (as the case may be) considers it appropriate to do so ”;
(b)omit the second subparagraph.]
