60. Where reasonably required to do so by the engineer or the harbour master for the purpose of ensuring the safety of the river the undertaker must, to the reasonable satisfaction of the engineer or harbour master, fence off any specified work or protective work or take such steps as the engineer or the harbour master may reasonably require to be taken for the purpose of separating a specified work or a protective work from the river, whether on a temporary or permanent basis or both.E+W+S
