Under Article 41 of the Charter of the United Nations the Security Council of the United Nations has, by a resolution adopted on 29th March 2005, called upon Her Majesty’s Government in the United Kingdom to apply certain measures to give effect to decisions of that Council in relation to Sudan(1):
The Security Council of the United Nations adopted resolution 1591 (2005) on 29th March 2005 (“resolution 1591”). Paragraph 3(d) of resolution 1591 requires States to take the necessary measures to prevent the entry into or transit through their territories of all persons designated by the Committee pursuant to paragraph 3(c) of that resolution.
