28. After regulation 34 (jurisdiction to try offences), insert—U.K.
“Consent to prosecutions
34A.—(1) Proceedings for an offence under these Regulations must not be instituted in the Territory except with the consent of the principal public officer of the Territory responsible for criminal prosecutions.
(2) Nothing in paragraph (1) prevents—
(a)the arrest, or the issue or execution of a warrant for the arrest, of any person in respect of an offence under these Regulations, or
(b)the remand in custody or on bail of any person charged with such an offence.”
