The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 123(4)(a) of the Education Act 2002(1).
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the School Teachers’ Incentive Payments (England) (Amendment) Order 2023 and comes into force on 1st September 2023.
(2) This Order extends to England and Wales.
2.—(1) The School Teachers’ Incentive Payments (England) Order 2019(2) is amended as follows.
(2) In article 2(2) (incentive payments to school teachers)—
(a)in sub-paragraph (c) omit “and”; and
(b)after sub-paragraph (d) insert—
“and
(e)the International Relocation Payment,”

This Order amends the School Teachers’ Incentive Payments (England) Order 2019 (S.I. 2019/1133).It adds the International Relocation Payment to the list of schemes under which payment is not to be treated as remuneration for the purposes of section 122(1) of the Education Act 2002 (c. 32).
An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no impact on business or civil society organisations. The instrument has minimal impact on the public sector.
