The Welsh Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 124 of the National Health Service (Wales) Act 2006(1).

Title, application, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) These Regulations are called the National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2010 and come into force on 1 April 2010.

(2) These Regulations apply in relation to Wales.

(3) In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations” (“y prif Reoliadau”) means the National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) Regulations 1989(2).

Amendment to the principal Regulations

2.  In Schedule 2 to the principal Regulations delete the words—

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) Regulations 1989 (S.I. 1989/306) (“the 1989 Regulations”). The Regulations remove the Isle of Man from the list of countries or territories in respect of which the United Kingdom Government has entered into a reciprocal agreement in Schedule 2 to the 1989 Regulations.
