When certain annual meetings may be heldE+W
6.—(1) Paragraph (2) applies in relation to a principal council that has not held an annual meeting—
(a)on or after 1 March 2020, and
(b)before the coming into force of these Regulations.
(2) Schedule 12 to the 1972 Act (meetings and proceedings of local authorities) is to be read as if, in paragraph 1(2) (annual meetings of principal councils), before paragraph (b) M1 there were inserted—
“(ab)in 2020, on such day in 2020 as the proper officer of the council may fix;”.
