Commencement of section 16 of the Farriers (Registration) Act 1975

2. Section 16 of the Farriers (Registration) Act 1975(1) shall come into force on 30th March 2007 in those areas of Scotland excepted from the bringing into force of section 16 by the Farriers (Registration) Act 1975 (Commencement No. 3) Order 1981(2).

Section 16 was amended by the Farriers (Registration) (Amendment) Act 1977 (c. 31), section 1(1) and (2) and paragraph 6 of the Schedule.

S.I. 1981/767. The Farriers (Registration) Act 1975 (Commencement No. 3) Order 1981 commenced section 16 of the Farriers (Registration) Act 1975 in Scotland with the exception of Highland Region, Western Isles Islands Area, Orkney Islands Area, Shetland Islands Area and all other islands, as those areas were constituted by section 1 of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 (c. 65).
