Citation, commencement and extent
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Official Statistics (Scotland) Order 2008, and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.
(2) It extends to Scotland, and insofar as it extends beyond Scotland, it does so only as a matter of Scots law.

2. Wholly Scottish devolved statistics(1) produced, or to be produced, by the persons listed in the Schedule are specified as official statistics for the purposes of section 6(1)(b) of the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007.
