3. The following provisions of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 namely—
(a)section 108(1), so far as it applies to paragraphs 1 to 4 of Schedule 3 (which make minor and consequential amendments of the Alkali, &c. Works Regulation Act 1906), and
(b)section 108(2), so far as it applies to repeals effected by Schedule 4 to the Alkali, &c. Works Regulation Act 1906,
shall come into operation on 1st January 1975.
