1.   An area comprising that part of the County of Powys which lies within the following boundary:—

  • From the meeting of the Afon Conwy with the Forestry Commission fence at OS map reference SH 999179 generally north-eastwards following the forest boundary fence to its junction with the farm fence at OS map reference SH 995188 then generally northwards following the farm fence to OS map reference SH 998199 and then generally north-westwards along the forest fence to where it crosses the stream at OS map reference SH 989204 and then generally following the course of the stream to where it joins Llyn Efyrnwy near the waterfall at OS map reference SH 995206 and then crossing Llyn Efyrnwy in a generally north-westwards direction to the forest boundary at OS map reference SH 988217 and then following the forestry boundary to its junction with the stream at OS map reference SH 993225 and then generally eastwards following the course of the stream through the forest to its junction with the stream at OS map reference SH 999222 and then generally north-eastwards following the course of the stream to where it meets the forestry boundary at OS map reference SJ 003224 and then generally north-eastwards following the forest boundary to where it joins the fenced Nant Coedwyr Boundary at OS map reference SJ 003226 and then generally north-eastwards, following the fenced Nant Coedwyr Boundary to where it joins the Severn-Trent Boundary at OS map reference SJ 013240 and then generally north-westwards along the Severn-Trent Boundary passing through OS map references SJ 004244 and SJ 003260 to where it joins the fence at the County Boundary at OS map reference SH 990280 at Cyrniau Nod; then westwards and then south-westwards along the fence following the County Boundary passing through OS map references SH 946270 and SH 916229; then generally southwards along the fence to the Severn-Trent Water Authority fence at OS map reference SH 928202 and thereafter as a Forestry Commission fence to a point near Drum Ddu at OS map reference SH 932166; then continuing generally eastwards along the Forestry Commission fence to where it meets a Forestry Commission fencealong a footpath at OS map reference SH 975168; generally northwards following the fence along the footpath to where it meets a Forestry Commission fence at OS map reference SH 972177; generally south-eastwards then north-eastwards along the fence to where it meets the Afon Conwy at OS map reference SH 999179.

The area excludes any part of a road, footpath or body of water by reference to which its boundary is defined.
