3. In regulation 3 of the principal Regulations, for the definition of “part-time service”, there shall be substituted—
““part-time service” means service as a teacher under a contract which provides for regular service of less than full-time service and which subsists for at least a period of 6 consecutive weeks but does not include service of a person who is, or is deemed to be, a pensionable employee within the meaning of the Local Government Superannuation (Scotland) Regulations 1987(1).”.
