The Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine, in exercise of its powers under section 2 of the Professions Supplementary to Medicine Act 1960, hereby makes the following Rules:
1. These Rules may be cited as the Registration (Amendment) Rules 1992.
2. The Registration Rules 1962 (scheduled to the Professions Supplementary to Medicine (Registration Rules) Order of Council 1962(1)) shall be further amended as follows:
(i)Rule 15 shall be deleted and the following Rule shall be substituted therefor:
“15. The registration fee shall be paid at the time of the application for registration. With effect from 1st October 1992, the fee shall, subject to Rule 17, be £17, except for an application for registration for a period of less than 6 months, for which the fee shall be £12.”.
(ii)Rule 17 shall be deleted and the following Rule shall be substituted therefor:
“17. The registration fee shall cover the inclusion in a Register of particulars inserted under paragraphs (a), (b) and (d) of Rule 4 of these Rules, but shall be increased by £4 for each address entered under paragraph (c) of that Rule.”.
(iii)Rules 19(iii) and (iv) shall be deleted and the following shall be substituted therefor:
“(iii)Payment of any retention fee shall cover retention in a Register for the relevant period of particulars under paragraphs (a), (b), (d) and (e) of Rule 3 of these Rules but shall be increased by £4 per annum for each address registered under paragraph (c) of that Rule.
(iv)With effect from 1st October 1992 the retention fee in respect of a year or any part of a year shall, subject to paragraph (iii) above, be £17.”.
(iv)Rule 20 shall be deleted and the following Rule shall be substituted therefor:
“20.The fee for restoration of a name to the Register shall be £17.”.
