5. Sections 1, 9 and 10 of the Superannuation Act 1972(1) (superannuation of civil servants etc.) shall each have effect as if the reference in subsection (2A) to any authorised provider included a reference to any European institution acting in the course of home-regulated investment business carried on by it in the United Kingdom.

Sections 1(2A), 9(2A) and 10(2A) were inserted by sections 8(1), 8(3) and 8(5) respectively of the Pensions (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1990 (c. 7); other amendments not relevant to these Regulations were also made to sections 1, 9 and 10 of the Superannuation Act 1972 (c. 11) by the Pensions (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1990.
