The East Durham Enterprise Zones(Designation) Order 1995

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order designates as enterprise zones six areas which are located in the district of Easington, and which have been the subject of the following enterprise zone schemes adopted by the Easington District Council:

• The East Durham Enterprise Zone No. 1 (Bracken Hill) Scheme;

• The East Durham Enterprise Zone No. 2 (Peterlee North West Industrial Estate) Scheme;

• The East Durham Enterprise Zone No. 3 (Peterlee South West Industrial Estate) Scheme;

• The East Durham Enterprise Zone No. 4 (Seaham Grange) Scheme;

• The East Durham Enterprise Zone No. 5 (Fox Cover) Scheme; and

• The East Durham Enterprise Zone No. 6 (Dawdon) Scheme.

The designation is effective for a period of 10 years.

The location and areas of the enterprise zones are shown on the plans forming part of this note. The detailed maps referred to in article 2 may be inspected at the principal offices of the Easington District Council, and at the offices of the Secretary of State for the Environment.
