2.—(1) The Secretary of State hereby authorises the Sport and Arts joint scheme, being the joint scheme contained in the agreement entered into between the English Sports Council (which is also known as “Sport England”) and the Arts Council of England on 6th December 2000(1).
(2) The Schedule to this Order (which, pursuant to paragraph 3 of Schedule 3A to the National Lottery etc. Act 1993, contains a brief description of the nature and purposes of the joint scheme and other particulars about it) shall have effect.
Section 25B of, and Schedule 3A to, the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 permit a body which distributes money under section 25(1) of that Act to participate with one or more other such bodies in a joint scheme for the distribution of money under that provision. Section 25B was inserted by section 12(1) of the National Lottery Act 1998.
