SCHEDULE 10 U.K. (ANNEX VII to the Directive)

Unit Verification U.K.

1.  This [F1 Schedule] describes the procedure whereby the manufacturer, or his authorised representative F2 ..., ensures and declares that the equipment which has been issued with the certificate referred to in point 4 conforms to the requirements of [F3 these Regulations]. The manufacturer, or his authorised representative F2 ..., must affix the [F4 UK] marking supplemented by the information as required in [F5 regulation 7(2)(c), regulation 11 and Schedule 7] to the equipment and draw up the F6 ... declaration of conformity referred to in [F7 regulation 7(2)(d) and Schedule 5]. 1.  This Annex describes the procedure whereby the manufacturer, or his authorised representative established in the [F19 European Union], ensures and declares that the equipment which has been issued with the certificate referred to in point 4 conforms to the requirements of this Directive. The manufacturer, or his authorised representative established in the [F19 European Union], must affix the CE marking supplemented by the information as required in Article 11 to the equipment and draw up the EC declaration of conformity referred to in Article 8. N.I.

  • — trade name

  • — type, series and numbers

  • — the technical data relevant for the identification of the equipment and the assessment of its noise emission, including, if appropriate, schematic drawings and any description and explanation necessary for their understanding

  • — the reference to [F11 these Regulations].

• — examine whether the equipment has been manufactured in conformity with the technical documentation

• — agree with the applicant the location where, in accordance with [F13 these Regulations], the noise tests will be carried out

• — in accordance with [F13 these Regulations], carry out or have carried out the necessary noise tests.

4.  Where the equipment meets the provisions of [F14 these Regulations], the [F15 approved] body must issue a certificate of conformity to the applicant as described in [F16 Schedule 12]. E+W+S

If the [F15 approved] body refuses to issue a certificate of conformity, it must state the detailed grounds for the refusal.

4.  Where the equipment meets the provisions of this Directive, the notified body must issue a certificate of conformity to the applicant as described in Annex X. N.I.

If the notified body refuses to issue a certificate of conformity, it must state the detailed grounds for the refusal.

5.  The manufacturer, or his authorised representative [F17 established in the [F18 European Union]], must keep with the technical documentation copies of the certificate of conformity for a period of 10 years from the date on which the equipment is placed on the market. U.K.
