Consequential amendments and revocations
3. In the enactments specified in column 1 of Schedule 2, in the provisions specified in column 2, there is inserted in the appropriate alphabetical position—
““Commission” means the Commission for Social Care Inspection;”(1).

The Commission for Social Care Inspection is established by section 42 of the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Act 2003 (c. 43) (“the Act”). The functions of the National Care Standards Commission under Part 2 of the 2000 Act are transferred either to the Commission for Social Care Inspection or to the Commission for Healthcare Audit and Inspection in accordance with section 102 of the Act.
