This Order confers powers on The Felixstowe Dock and Railway Company for the compulsory acquisition of land and interests in land in the Borough of Ipswich and Suffolk Coastal District, Suffolk. The powers are conferred for the purposes of constructing and operating an additional railway line adjacent to part of the existing Felixstowe branch railway line and improvements to certain level crossings on the existing Felixstowe branch railway line. Such works were authorised by the Felixstowe Branch Line and Ipswich Yard Improvement Order 2008 (S.I. 2008/2512) (“the 2008 Order”). The compulsory acquisition powers conferred by the 2008 Order expired on 14th October 2013.
This Order does not authorise the construction of works.
A copy of the land plans and book of reference mentioned in this Order and certified in accordance with article 16 (certification of plans, etc.) of this Order may be inspected free of charge at the offices of The Felixstowe Dock and Railway Company, Port of Felixstowe, Tomline House, The Dock, Felixstowe, Suffolk, IP11 3SY.
