Under Article 41 of the Charter of the United Nations the Security Council of the United Nations has, by a resolution adopted on 18th May 2012, called upon Her Majesty’s Government in the United Kingdom to apply certain measures to give effect to decisions of that Council in relation to the Republic of Guinea-Bissau(1):
The Security Council of the United Nations adopted resolution 2048 (2012) on 18 May 2012 (“resolution 2048”). Paragraph 4 of resolution 2048 requires States to take the necessary measures to prevent the entry into or transit through their territories of individuals listed in the annex to resolution 2048 or designated by the Committee established pursuant to paragraph 9 of that resolution.
