1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Medical Examiners (England) Regulations 2024 and come into force on 9th September 2024.
(2) These Regulations—
(a)extend to England and Wales; and
(b)apply in relation to medical examiners(1) appointed by an English NHS body only.
For the meaning of “medical examiner”, see section 48(1) of the Coroners Act 2009 as amended by section 169(4) of the Health and Care Act 2022.
