Mae'r Rheoliadau hyn yn diwygio Rheoliadau Addysg (Lleoedd a Gynorthwyir) 1997 (“Rheoliadau 1997”) mewn perthynas â blwyddyn ysgol yn dechrau ar 1 Medi 2001 neu wedyn. Mae Rheoliadau 1997 yn rhagnodi trefniadau ar gyfer disgyblion sy'n gymwys i barhau i gael lleoedd a gynorthwyir mewn ysgolion annibynnol yn rhinwedd adran 2 o Ddeddf Addysg (Ysgolion) 1997, er bod y cynllun cymorth lleoedd wedi'i ddileu gan adran 1 o'r Ddeddf honno.
Mae'r swm sydd i'w dynnu yn yr incwm “perthnasol” mewn perthynas â pherthnasau dibynnol o dan reoliad 10(4) a (6) o Reoliadau 1997 yn cael ei gynyddu o £1,400 i £1,430.
Ar lefel incwm benodol, neu o dan y lefel honno, nid yw'r ffioedd yn cael eu casglu o gwbl. Mae'r lefel honno yn cael ei chynyddu i £11,116 yn lle £10,901, gyda chynnydd cyfatebol yn y swm nad yw'n cael ei gasglu os yw'r incwm “perthnasol” yn fwy na'r swm hwnnw.
