O dan adran 25B o Ddeddf y Gwasanaeth Iechyd Gwladol (Cymru) 2006, mae Bwrdd Iechyd Lleol neu Ymddiriedolaeth GIG sy’n darparu gwasanaethau nyrsio mewn perthynas â’r lleoliadau clinigol hynny a bennir yn is-adran 25B(3), sef wardiau meddygol acíwt i gleifion mewnol sy’n oedolion a wardiau llawfeddygol acíwt i gleifion mewnol sy’n oedolion, o dan ddyletswydd i gyfrifo lefelau staff nyrsio a chymryd camau i’w cynnal, ac i hysbysu cleifion am y lefelau staff nyrsio hynny.
Mae’r Rheoliadau hyn yn estyn y sefyllfaoedd y mae’r dyletswyddau o dan adran 25B o Ddeddf y Gwasanaeth Iechyd Gwladol (Cymru) 2006 yn gymwys iddynt i gynnwys wardiau cleifion mewnol pediatrig.
Ystyriwyd Cod Ymarfer Gweinidogion Cymru ar gynnal Asesiadau Effaith Rheoleiddiol mewn perthynas â’r Rheoliadau hyn. O ganlyniad, lluniwyd asesiad effaith rheoleiddiol o’r costau a’r manteision sy’n debygol o ddeillio o gydymffurfio â’r Rheoliadau hyn yng Nghymru. Gellir cael copi oddi wrth: Llywodraeth Cymru, Parc Cathays, Caerdydd, CF10 3NQ.
